Backend Developer (PHP / Laravel)

We are looking for a Backend Developer with strong experience in PHP and Laravel to join our team. You will be responsible for building scalable backend systems, designing APIs, and collaborating closely with the frontend team to deliver high-quality web applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using PHP 8 and Laravel (v10–12)
• Design and implement REST APIs for frontend applications (Vue / Nuxt)
• Design scalable database structures and application architecture from scratch
• Optimize complex SQL queries and ensure database performance
• Implement real-time features using WebSockets
• Work with caching and queues (Redis) to improve application performance
• Maintain and improve backend infrastructure (Nginx, PHP-FPM)
• Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure efficient API design
• Follow best practices and apply SOLID, KISS, and DRY principles

Requirements

• 3+ years of commercial experience with PHP and Laravel
• Experience with Blade, Livewire, and Alpine.js
• Strong experience building REST APIs
• Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Experience designing project architecture and databases
• Understanding and practical use of design patterns
• Experience working with WebSockets (Laravel Reverb, Soketi, or similar)
• Experience with Redis caching and queues
• Understanding of backend infrastructure (Nginx, PHP-FPM)
• Experience with Git (GitHub / GitLab / Bitbucket)
• Familiarity with Composer and modern IDEs (PHPStorm / VSCode)

Nice to Have

• Experience with Vue.js and Nuxt (preferably Nuxt 4)
• Understanding of state management (Pinia) on the frontend side
• Knowledge of PWA and SPA architectures
• Experience with Docker, AWS, and CI/CD pipelines
