About the role
We're looking for a Technical Lead to take full ownership of a product vertical within one of our partner's teams through Cowchain's outstaffing model. The product is a fintech/DeFi platform—a decentralized financial ecosystem merging traditional banking with blockchain and AI, used by 70,000+ paying clients across 40+ countries.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll design architecture, write code, manage a team of 5+ engineers, and collaborate directly with the CTO and founders.

What you'll do

• Take full technical ownership of a product vertical (e.g., hybrid card-crypto wallet) 
• Design and implement scalable systems while staying hands-on with coding 
• Lead a team of 5+ engineers—set standards, review code, unblock people 
• Collaborate with the Delivery Manager for rapid product delivery 
• Work with external partners and vendors for solution integration 

• Make architectural decisions that balance speed, scalability, and maintainability

   

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on scalable systems 
• Deep expertise in Java (Spring Boot), Node.js (TypeScript), and React 
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EKS, RDS, S3, MSK), Terraform, Helm
• Experience with monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana) 
• Ability to modernize legacy systems and integrate new solutions 
• Leadership experience managing teams of 5+ people or owning a product vertical 

• Fluent English (written and spoken)—daily communication with international leadership

   

Nice to have

• Fintech or DeFi experience: smart contracts, staking, DEX/CEX integration 
• Familiarity with L1 blockchain platforms 
• Knowledge of AI engines for transaction analysis or risk management 

• Background in product companies or outsourcing (solution architect role)
