Middle Liferay Developer Offline

We are looking for a Middle Liferay Developer to join a long-term migration project for a US-based client.

The project focuses on transitioning from HCL Digital Experience (DX) to Liferay Portal, migrating multiple brand websites into a unified digital experience platform.

The system will serve ~500,000 users and ~14 million annual sessions.

Expected project duration: 12–18 months
 

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Liferay modules and components
• Participate in the migration from HCL DX to Liferay
• Work with Service Builder and OSGi modules
• Implement custom client extensions
• Configure workflows, permissions, and security architecture
• Contribute to cloud-native deployment environments
• Collaborate with frontend developers when needed
   

Requirements

• 3–4+ years of experience with Liferay
• Strong Java development skills
• Experience with:
  • Service Builder
  • OSGi modules
  • Workflows
  • Security & permissions architecture
  • Custom client extensions
• Experience with k8s/Docker
• Familiarity with Liferay Commerce
• English: Upper-Intermediate or higher
