🌿KAMASANA is a 20-year-old manufacturer and retailer of premium sleep products - mattresses, bedding, and pillowcases with its own production facility. The company holds ~40% of the springless mattress market in Ukraine, sells across Spain, Germany, and international markets, and has its products stocked at IKEA.
Amazon was launched in 2024 and is now the company's primary growth vehicle.

KAMASANA is looking for a commercially-driven e-commerce leader who can own Amazon DE as the primary revenue channel, develop Shopify DTC, and lay the foundation for expansion into EU, UK, and US markets. You will be the strategic and operational head of the entire marketplace function: setting direction, leading the team, and delivering profitable growth.

🎯Mission of the Role
As Head of Amazon & DTC, you will:
🔸Own and continuously improve KAMASANA's Amazon operations and commercial performance
🔸Drive month-over-month gains across listings, inventory, advertising, and account health
🔸Deliver sustainable profit growth by combining strategic vision with execution quality
🔸Inform product development and assortment decisions with data, customer insights, and market feedback

You will:
🔸Report directly to the Founder
🔸Lead a cross-functional team: PPC specialists, designers, operations managers, accountants, tax and returns specialists
🔸Serve as the single point of accountability for Amazon, Shopify, and all future marketplace channels

 


🧩 Experience and skills:
🔹5+ years of e-commerce experience with a focus on European Amazon (Amazon.de is a must)
🔹Proven track record of growing revenue and profitability on Amazon at scale
🔹Team management experience (2+ direct reports)
🔹Deep understanding of Amazon's algorithm, ranking mechanics, and advertising ecosystem
🔹Hands-on experience with analytics tools: Amazon Brand Analytics, Helium 10, Shopify Analytics, or equivalent
🔹Strong grasp of performance metrics and the ability to make data-driven decisions
🔹Understanding of the interplay between paid traffic, organic rankings, and product economics
🔹English B2 (Upper Intermediate), Ukrainian/Russian language proficiency required - primary language of internal communication


 

⚙️Key Responsibilities

🧠Strategy
🔸Design and execute a revenue and growth strategy across Amazon and Shopify (DE first, then EU/UK/US)
🔸Build P&L plans, define KPIs, and own margin management across all channels
🔸Develop a profitability roadmap and drive SKU rationalization, new product launches, and portfolio scaling
🔸Define pricing and margin strategies and allocate marketing budgets across channels

📊Operations
🔸Monitor and improve daily performance metrics: revenue, margin, CVR, CTR, TACOS, Refund Rate
🔸Oversee listing quality: SEO, creative assets, A+ content and generate ongoing optimization hypotheses
🔸Manage inventory levels in coordination with warehouse and logistics
🔸Maintain Account Health and ensure compliance with EU regulatory requirements (GPSR, LUCID, VAT, etc.)
🔸Reduce return rates and optimize advertising spend to improve net profitability

👥Team Leadership
🔸Set and review KPIs for each team member (operations specialists, PPC managers, designers, accountants, tax specialists, returns manager) and track execution via ASANA
🔸Identify gaps in the team structure and hire additional specialists as needed
🔸Drive a results-oriented culture with clear ownership and accountability at every level


✨Nice to Have

🔹Experience with EU compliance requirements: VAT OSS, GPSR, LUCID, EPR
🔹Background scaling a brand from one EU market into multiple regions
🔹Experience working with brands that have their own manufacturing facility
🔹Familiarity with bedding, home goods, or consumer products categories
🔹Experience building or restructuring an e-commerce team from scratch
