n8n Automation Engineer

LongRun is a growing lead generation and GTM agency. We offer cold email outbound as a service: full sales systems for B2B clients, from strategy and copy through to qualified leads delivered into their CRM.

We're hiring an n8n Automation Engineer to own the backend automation that powers client delivery: every webhook, sync, and mailbox automation between Email Bison and the destinations clients see (their Slack, their CRM, our Clay database).

What you'll actually be doing:

• Own the lead handover pipeline: when Email Bison fires a reply, bounce, or sequence-finished event, your n8n workflows update the client's Slack channel, their CRM, and our Clay Master Table simultaneously
• Build and maintain CRM integrations for whatever the client uses (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Attio, GoHighLevel, Dynamics 365, Monday.com, Airtable). New integrations live within 48 hours of assignment.
• Maintain the core general workflows: positive reply routing, unsub/auto-reply handling, mailbox management, daily volume reporting, weekly client reports, LinkedIn replies via HeyReach
• Run the mailbox lifecycle automation: import setup, ramp-up, warmup to ready transitions, EmailGuard placement tests, status tagging, and Slack alerts for damaged or disconnected mailboxes
• Monitor #errors and fix broken workflows same-day. Maintain error handling and retries in everything you build.

• Build internal tools and scrapers (Cursor + Claude Code) to replace paid services and streamline ops

   

You won't: talk to clients (the founder does), write campaign copy, source leads, or run campaigns. Your scope is the technical backend that makes the delivery team's work possible.

How we work: We hire for attitude and desire over long CVs and credentials. We use AI in every part of our delivery, which is how a lean team serves a growing number of clients without dropping quality. All internal communication happens in English since we serve clients mostly in the US and Europe.

Stack: n8n (self-hosted on Railway), Email Bison, HeyReach, Clay, Supabase, Slack, Cursor, Claude Code, Notion, Todoist.

Requirements: 2+ years building production n8n workflows (real webhook-driven, multi-branch, error-handled stuff, not tutorial-level), solid REST API and webhook fundamentals, comfort picking up any CRM API from docs, ability to debug end-to-end without hand-holding, extreme ownership, working knowledge of JavaScript (n8n Function nodes) and SQL (Supabase), and fluent use of AI tools in your daily work.
