Engineering Manager

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a manager of managers leading multiple teams through first-line managers.
- Strong track record delivering multi-team initiatives and measurable outcomes across several quarters.
- Demonstrated strength in coaching managers, building high-performing orgs, and running performance management effectively.
- Solid technical judgment (architecture tradeoffs, risk management, quality and reliability practices), even if you’re not hands-on daily.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management in a cross-functional environment.

Will be plus:
- Experience scaling teams or org design (team topology, ownership boundaries, headcount planning).
- Background in improving operational maturity (reliability, incident management, on-call health, reducing technical debt/toil).
- Experience leading platform, infrastructure, or large-scale product engineering organizations.

Responsibilities:

Organizational leadership & execution
- Lead and align multiple teams via Team Leads; set clear goals, expectations, and accountability.
- Own delivery across multiple parallel workstreams; manage tradeoffs, dependencies, and execution risk.

Strategy & direction
- Define and communicate a multi-quarter roadmap aligned with product and business priorities.
- Translate ambiguous problems into clear plans; drive decisions with appropriate context, data, and stakeholder input.
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement while maintaining a healthy pace and sustainable practices.

People leadership (managers and senior ICs)
- Coach and develop Team Leads and Senior ICs: regular 1:1s, feedback, career planning, and leadership skill-building.
- Build a strong talent pipeline: hiring strategy, leveling, succession planning, and internal mobility.
- Lead performance management across teams with clarity and fairness; recognize high performance and address issues early.

Cross-functional leadership
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Security, and other stakeholders to align priorities and deliver outcomes.
- Influence across the broader org to remove friction, resolve conflict, and drive alignment.
- Communicate status, risks, and decisions with clarity to technical and non-technical audiences.

Engineering excellence & operations
- Ensure engineering quality through strong technical leadership, design review expectations, and pragmatic standards.
- Improve system health and reliability: incident response readiness, postmortems, reducing toil, and maintaining sustainable on-call practices.
- Drive metrics that matter (delivery, quality, reliability, customer impact) and use them to guide improvements.
