Support Specialist (20h/week) to $400

Our client is looking for a Level 1 (L1) Help Desk Support Specialist to join their team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 4 hours per day).

 

L1 Support is the first line of assistance for end users. This role focuses on handling incoming requests, resolving common issues, and ensuring smooth communication and proper escalation when needed.

 

This is a great opportunity for students or junior specialists who want to combine part-time work with their studies while gaining hands-on experience in IT support within a structured environment.

 

💼 What you’ll do:

 

- Receive and log incoming support requests via email, portal, or chat

- Ask clarifying questions and collect relevant details (screenshots, logs, reproduction steps)

- Triage and categorize issues, assign priority/severity, and identify known issues

- Resolve common user problems following documented procedures, including:

▫️Password, access, and permission issues

▫️“How-to” and usage-related questions

▫️Basic troubleshooting (restart, cache clearing, checking settings, reproducing issues)

▫️Simple configuration or user administration tasks (if applicable)

- Provide status updates to users and close tickets upon confirmation of resolution

- Escalate unresolved or complex issues to L2/L3 support with clear documentation (impact, steps to reproduce, evidence, and context)

 

This position does not involve:

- Code changes or feature development

- Deep root cause analysis or advanced technical debugging

- Infrastructure changes or deployments (unless specifically agreed)

 

Who we’re looking for:

 

- Strong communication and documentation skills

- Organized, detail-oriented, and customer-focused

- Ability to work independently within defined working hours

- English level B1 or higher (mandatory): willingness to participate in an interview in English with the client
