PHP Backend Developer

Akurateco is a white-label payment software provider with over 15 years of experience in the fintech industry. Our platform, Akurateco Cashier, operates in more than 100 countries and supports over 150 currencies, catering to the needs of various businesses, including those in high-risk industries.

We are actively looking for a PHP Backend Developer!

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of commercial software development experience;
• PHP: Proven working experience with PHP 7.4+ (8.x is a strong plus);
• Practical experience with a Symfony framework;
• Deep understanding of core software development principles (OOP, Design Patterns, SOLID);
• Experience designing and working with RESTful APIs;
• Ability to write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code;
• English: Intermediate (B1-B2) level or higher for active team communication.

• NICE TO HAVE:
•  Experience integrating with external Payment Service Providers (PSPs);
• Familiarity with code quality tools (PHPMD, PHPCPD);
• Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines;
   
• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and maintain specific functional modules and services;
• Develop and implement integrations with external payment systems and third-party services;
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, including unit tests;
• Actively participate in technical discussions, sprint planning, and team decision-making processes;

• Participate in refactoring and optimization of the existing codebase to improve performance and reliability.
