Chargeback Lead

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Chargeback Lead who does more than just "process claims." We need a strategist who can navigate the entire dispute lifecycle, from deep-dive investigations to high-stakes bank escalations.

In this role, you won’t just be following a script. You’ll be the person taking ownership of our case strategies, talking directly to banks about account freezes, and researching how chargeback frameworks operate as we break into new global markets. You’ll combine operational grit with the big-picture thinking needed to set the standards for our entire chargeback function.

What Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like

• Case Ownership: You’ll independently manage your own portfolio, selecting and analyzing transactions to build airtight, strategically positioned evidence packages.
• Bank Relations: You’ll be our voice with banking partners, handling sensitive communications regarding frozen funds, account restrictions, and complex appeals.
• Market Research: As we expand, you’ll dive into the regulations and banking practices of new geographies to ensure our dispute framework is ready for prime time.
• Process Evolution: We want you to find the friction. You’ll develop internal workflows, refine case preparation standards, and leverage AI tools to make our operations faster and smarter.
• Collaboration: You’ll work closely with Accounting, and Tech teams to ensure our financial recovery efforts are seamless.
• Mentorship: As the function grows, you’ll have the chance to guide and mentor junior team members, shaping the future of the team.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: You have at least 3 years under your belt in chargebacks, disputes, or payment operations.
• Communication: Your written English is sharp and professional. You know how to talk to banks in a way that gets results.
• Strategic Mindset: You don’t just see data; you see the logic behind chargeback requirements and know how to handle high-risk escalations.
• Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable with spreadsheets and internal systems, and you’re genuinely excited about using AI to enhance your workflow.

• Ownership: You’re someone who takes initiative. You don’t wait for a manual; you help write it.
