Engineering Manager for Games

🎯 What you’ll do:

  • own the technical delivery of game teams from idea to live operations:
  • write and review production code regularly
  • design and evolve game systems
  • step into complex technical problems when they matter
  • ensure games are stable, performant, and shippable

You’ll run the full lifecycle: discovery → implementation → QA → release → live ops. You’ll work closely with engineers, QA, product, and art - not as a coordinator, but as a technical decision-maker.

 

This is not a people-heavy management role. Leadership comes from technical ownership and example.

  • commit code to production
  • review architecture and PRs
  • debug live issues
  • pair with engineers on hard problems

 

🧠 What you bring

  • strong hands-on engineering background
  • experience owning production systems
  • comfort with live releases and real users
  • technical credibility with senior engineers

  • Games / iGaming / real-time products
  • Live Ops or high-availability systems

  • JavaScript / TypeScript

  • Game or frontend-facing systems (Pixi.js / Phaser.js / Canvas / WebGL)
