We’re looking to hire an Engineering Manager to join our remote development team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading teams and understands the technical side of development.

 

About the role

You will manage a distributed team of software engineers, working closely with product and technical leadership to ensure smooth delivery, team alignment, and continuous improvement. Your focus will be on people management, process optimization, and team performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor Software and QA engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and growth.
  • Drive hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and career development.
  • Build a healthy, high-performing engineering environment.

Delivery Management

  • Own the delivery process and ensure predictable, high-quality execution.
  • Run and improve Agile practices (planning, refinement, reviews, retrospectives).
  • Partner with Product to align priorities, scope, and timelines.
  • Identify risks, remove blockers, and maintain clear delivery communication.

Technical Awareness

  • Maintain broad understanding of modern architectural approaches (microservices, SOA, modular architectures), SOLID, and Domain-Driven Design.
  • Support evaluation of technical proposals together with Tech Leads.
  • Understand cloud ecosystem considerations (AWS/GCP) at a managerial level.
  • Promote quality standards across CI/CD, testing, documentation, and delivery workflows.

Process & Tooling

  • Improve development workflows and team efficiency.
  • Encourage adoption of AI-assisted engineering and QA tools.
  • Ensure teams operate with clarity, structure, and the right tooling.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Maintain transparent communication with Product, Design, and leadership.
  • Align engineering execution with company objectives and roadmap.

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience leading software or QA engineering teams.
  • Strong background in Agile delivery management and engineering workflows.
  • Understanding of modern architectural concepts at a non-hands-on level.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, testing maturity, and quality practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain a high-performance engineering culture.
