Payment Operations Manager (Billing/Risk)

We’re scaling a profitable dating product and are hiring a Payment Operations Manager (Billing & Risk) to fully own payments end-to-end - from billing and antifraud to chargebacks and payment operations.

You’ll work directly with the COO and drive measurable improvements in revenue, LTV, payment stability, and operational efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own payment operations end-to-end: billing, payments, refunds, chargebacks, disputes
  • Manage and optimize billing flows (subscriptions, retries, refunds)
  • Monitor and improve payment passability, approval rates, LTV
  • Lead antifraud & payment risk management (cards, wallets, PSP rules)
  • Maintain and improve MID health across multiple PSPs and geographies
  • Work with banks, PSPs, and payment providers
  • Build and optimize chargeback representment processes
  • Collaborate closely with COO, product, tech, support and legal teams
  • Set up dashboards, alerts and reporting for payment & billing performance
  • Identify bottlenecks and proactively propose improvements

 

Requirements

  • Strong experience in payments, billing and payment operations
  • Hands-on background with chargebacks, fraud, antifraud tools
  • Experience in high-risk verticals (dating, nutra, gambling, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of PSPs, MIDs, routing and payment flows
  • Data-driven mindset: confident with metrics, dashboards and analytics
  • Ownership mentality - you fix problems, not just escalate them
  • Comfortable working closely with COO and taking responsibility
