- Build and maintain tools and services that support development workflows, live operations, and reliability.
- Work closely with gameplay engineers to ensure reliable integration between game systems and platform services.
- Define, track, and respond to operational metrics, helping establish effective live service monitoring practices.
- Make pragmatic technical decisions, balancing player experience, delivery timelines, and operational constraints.
- Provide timelines and risk assessments to Production, proactively identifying dependencies and mitigation plans.
- Set technical standards through example, code reviews, and shared ownership.
- Manage Internal and external platform resources.
- Manage platform (Pragma) and server architecture (Hathora) relationships.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS WE LOOK FOR:
- 6+ years of backend or platform engineering experience, preferably in games or real-time services.
- Experience shipping and operating a session-based live service title.
- Strong understanding of web API design, service contracts, and backend best practices.
- Experience with Kotlin and/or Java is a plus.

- Passionate about building reliable systems that support great gameplay.
WHY WORK WITH US?
- We are committed to making great games with our first title Last Flag coming out soon.
- You can work fully remote
- We have a sense of humor and while we take the work seriously, we take ourselves less so.
- You'll be hard-pressed to find a happier group of people to work alongside.
