Senior Product Designer (FinTech / AI)

Our partner, an early-stage FinTech startup, is looking for a Senior Product Designer with 5-7 years of experience in Fintech in Europe or Asia only, who can own the product design end-to-end, not just “deliver screens”.

The product is an AI-powered financial platform for small and mid-sized businesses, covering finance operations at a CFO level: accounting, taxes, analytics, and decision-making.
It’s a complex B2B product with a high cost of mistakes — which is why the role requires a mature product thinker, not a UI-focused contributor. This is not a role for executors

If you are most comfortable with detailed specs, constant approvals, and someone else making final decisions, this role is not for you.

What you will be responsible for

• Full ownership of product design: web application → future mobile apps → website → foundational brand elements.
• Direct collaboration with the Head of Product and Engineering, no intermediaries.
• Designing UX for complex financial workflows, including AI-driven logic and multiple user roles.
• Independently conducting user research and translating insights into product decisions.
• Building a scalable design system from scratch.
• Working in a fast-paced startup environment with weekly releases.
   

Mandatory requirements (non-negotiable)

• 5+ years of experience in product design.
• 5+ years in FinTech or B2B SaaS (banking experience is acceptable).
• Proven experience owning a product design, not just individual features.
• Ability to work independently, without micromanagement.
• Strong UX skills, systems thinking, and user research experience.
• Interest or hands-on experience with AI/ML-based products.
• English+Russian level B2 or higher.
• Location: Europe or Asia only, fully remote.
   

Portfolio — a critical filter

A portfolio is mandatory and must:

• demonstrate iterative product evolution,
• clearly explain design decisions and their impact,
• be free of spelling, grammatical, and structural errors.

For our partner, mistakes in a portfolio are not minor issues — they signal attention to detail and attitude toward product quality.

• focus on UI rather than product outcomes,
• avoid responsibility for your decisions,
• are not ready to challenge assumptions and defend your solutions with reasoning and data.
