Technical Project manager

To thrive in this role, we’re seeking candidates with 5+ years of end‑to‑end project delivery experience, coupled with a strong background in managing complex, multi‑stakeholder software initiatives, including system migrations or legacy modernization.  

About the project: The client is a global clinical research technology company providing the only cross‑sponsor verification solution designed to detect and prevent duplicate and professional research subjects in clinical trials. The platform enhances participant safety, data integrity, and trial success by validating subject eligibility in real time. We are leading a migration of a production system to a new technology stack while ensuring uninterrupted business operations. The team includes engineers, a Business Analyst, and QA specialists on our side, collaborating closely with client‑side development resources and their Customer Success team. The project requires balancing operational stability with long‑term modernization goals, prioritizing production issues when needed, and aligning stakeholders around scope, risks, and delivery expectations. 

Requirements:  

• 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager in software development
• Proven experience leading software migration or legacy modernization projects
• Strong understanding of how business requirements are transformed into technical solutions
• Hands-on experience running Scrum / Agile delivery
• Ability to work comfortably at the intersection of: business needs, technical constraints, delivery realities
• Able to translate technical discussions into business-relevant language
• Experience managing scope, expectations, and delivery risks in real-world projects 

Nice to Have 

• Experience in healthcare or health-tech (regulated environments, complex data, integrations)
• Background or experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or hybrid PM/BA
• Familiarity with data migrations, system integrations, or platform modernization
• Experience working with distributed or cross-functional teams 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead end-to-end delivery of a software migration project, from discovery through production rollout
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand processes, constraints, and transformation goals
• Take a partial Business Analyst role:  clarify business needs, validate scope, ensure requirements are technically actionable
• Translate business context into clear technical descriptions for the delivery team — and back into business language for stakeholders
• Run Scrum ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) in a mixed and possibly distributed team
• Own scope control, change management, and backlog alignment
• Monitor and control deliverables, timelines, and dependencies
• Proactively identify, raise, and manage risks, assumptions, and blockers
• Ensure transparency of progress, trade-offs, and decisions
• Coordinate closely with engineering, QA, and product stakeholders to ensure quality and alignment in mixed team of offshore and nearshore members 

Team: 4 people. You will be inside a development team. Tech stack: .NET, SQL Server, Azure, Angular. 

Schedule: 5/2, 8-hour working day (40 hr per week), flexible schedule. Be able to work in NY timezone at least 4 hours a day
