People Partner for WebSpellChecker

WebSpellChecker is a product company that builds AI-powered text quality solutions used by engineers, businesses, and individual users worldwide. Our products help people communicate more clearly by providing spelling, grammar, and style correction across different platforms and environments.

We are a team of 20+ professional, agile and customer-obsessed tech enthusiasts. We continuously evolve our products, follow key industry trends, and place a strong emphasis on quality, reliability, and thoughtful engineering. At the same time, we care deeply about how people work together, communicate, and grow — and we see a strong people function as a key part of building a sustainable product company.

We are currently looking for a People Partner to ensure that people processes run smoothly, employees feel supported, and HR data and documentation are accurate and compliant.

This role gives you full ownership of the people function for the WebSpellChecker team. You will report directly to the General Manager, work side by side with team leads, and have a real influence on how people practices are executed. The role is fully remote, designed for independent, proactive HR professionals who enjoy both ownership and collaboration.

  • HR Processes: Maintain accurate employee records in the HRM system (we use PeopleForce), ensuring all data regarding time-off and personal details is up-to-date.
  • Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employees regarding daily HR requests, policies, benefits, and internal procedures.
  • Engagement & Retention: Conduct regular 1-on-1s and check-ins to monitor team morale and address individual concerns.
  • Performance Support: Assist managers in organizing Performance Review cycles, tracking probation periods, and documenting PDPs (Personal Development Plans).
  • Internal Communication: Draft and distribute internal announcements, policy updates, and help maintain the company knowledge base.
  • Events & Education: Organize team-building activities, corporate celebrations, and coordinate educational initiatives (internal workshops, training sessions) to foster team cohesion.

Required skills and knowledge

  • English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) level.
  • Tech Savviness: Hands-on experience with HRM systems and confidence using Google Workspace.
