Agentic AI Architect

We are looking for a Senior Agentic AI Architect to join an early-stage client project focused on designing and building a production-grade agentic AI platform that automates the software development lifecycle-  from specifications and design to coding and testing.

This role is architecture-first, with strong hands-on involvement at the system and agent design level.
We are recruiting on behalf of the client and will share full project details with shortlisted candidates.

Our client is a technology-driven company developing an AI-powered platform that leverages multi-agent systems to automate complex engineering workflows.
The product is at an early stage, with a strong focus on agent engineering, rapid iteration, and real-world production use cases.

 Responsibilities

• Define and own the architecture of an agentic AI engine automating the software development lifecycle
• Design multi-agent architectures and agent squads across different SDLC stages (specs, design, coding, testing)
• Establish agent engineering best practices, including:
  • prompt and context engineering strategies
  • memory design and lifecycle
  • agent tool design (incl. MCP or similar concepts)
  • evaluation strategies (offline & online)
• Lead architectural decisions for scalability, reliability, safety, and performance of agentic workflows
• Design system-level evaluation frameworks and quality metrics for agent performance
• Define API architecture and integration patterns (Python, FastAPI, REST)
• Collaborate with engineers, product stakeholders, and external clients to translate business goals into agentic system designs
• Produce and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and design artifacts
• Guide implementation teams and review architectural correctness (hands-on when needed)

Requirements

• Architecture & Agentic Systems
• Proven experience designing production-grade agentic systems, not only implementing LLM-based features
• Strong knowledge of agent engineering concepts: multi-agent orchestration, context optimization, memory, tool usage
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, LangSmith, Pydantic, or similar frameworks
• Experience designing and operating agent evaluation frameworks (Braintrust, Arize, custom evals)
• Experience with prompt, context, and system-level iteration driven by measurable outcomes
• Backend & Integration
• Strong Python background
• Experience designing and implementing APIs using FastAPI

• Solid understanding of REST API design and external integrations

   

Nice to Have

• Experience designing secure and safe agentic systems (guardrails, red teaming, threat modeling)
• Experience with agentic AI-powered developer tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, etc.)

• Early-stage product or platform architecture experience
