Pre-Sales Solution Architect
We're looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology and business. The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background in software development combined with proven pre-sales experience, capable of owning the entire discovery-to-proposal process and translating complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
This role focuses on client-facing activities, including discovery, audits, solution design, and pre-sales support, as well as solution-level decisions and their impact on overall business goals. It is perfect for someone who can find practical shortcuts, thinks pragmatically, and excels at both technical architecture and business analysis in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Requirements
Pre-Sales & Client Engagement:
- Hands-on experience owning the full pre-sales cycle: discovery, technical audits, proposals, and client presentations
- Track record of writing winning proposals and technical documentation from scratch
- Comfortable leading client conversations using the working backwards approach
- Ability to work independently or in small pre-sales teams
Technical Background:
- 7-10+ years in software development, solution architecture, technical product management, or similar roles
- Background in software development with hands-on coding experience (Java, JavaScript/Node.js, Python, C#, Go, or similar)
- Strong technical foundation to evaluate solutions, review architectures, and understand modern tech stacks
- Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and how to apply them to real business problems
- Solid grasp of architectural patterns (Microservices, DDD, CQRS, messaging) and when to use them
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Knowledge of security best practices and scalability considerations

Education:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
Would be a plus
- Located outside Ukraine (but not mandatory)
- Experience as a Technical Product Manager or combining BA and Architect roles
- Cloud certifications (AWS Solution Architect or similar)
- Deep expertise in ML/AI implementation beyond the basics
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (React, Angular, Vue.js)
Responsibilities
Pre-Sales & Client Engagement (primary focus):
- Own the end-to-end pre-sales process: discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, and proposals
- Conduct discovery sessions and technical audits with prospective clients
- Work closely with the sales team, solution architects, software engineers, and project managers during presale/discovery and initial project delivery stages
- Design high-level architectures and create solution blueprints for presentations
- Write comprehensive proposals and technical specifications that win business
- Act as both Business Analyst and Technical Architect during sales cycles
- Lead client conversations to align technical solutions with business outcomes
- Find pragmatic approaches to client challenges—focus on both short-term and long-term goals
Solution Architecture & Strategy:
- Make solution-level technology decisions and analyze their business impact
- Design AI/ML-powered solutions and explain their business value to clients
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions for stakeholders and clients
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend when they're worth adopting
- Ensure solutions meet security standards and best practices
