Middle+ Business Analyst (EdTech)

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Middle+ Business Analyst to join our team. As a Business Analyst, you will play an important role in supporting our projects and contributing to the improvement of our requirements management processes. You will have the opportunity to work with Open edX, an open-source e-learning platform, and enhance your skills in the e-learning domain. As a business analyst in Raccoon Gang, you will not only focus on BA tasks but will be able to develop knowledge about the Open edX, develop product ownership skills, and organise BA processes among different teams and departments.

Requirements:
• At least 3 years of proven experience as a Business Analyst in the software development industry.
• Experience in Presales and Discovery phase activities.
• Experience of participation in 2-3 commercial projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear requirements.
• Proficiency in requirement management and visualisation tools.
• Knowledge of BA techniques (Backlog Management, Document Analysis, Backlog Decomposition and Prioritisation, User Stories and Use Cases creation, Process Analysis and Modeling, Interviews, Workshops).
• Familiarity with different methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and the ability to adapt to project-specific requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in using the Tasks tracker system, Confluence, and Figma.
• Knowledge of English: Upper-intermediate and higher.

Will be a plus:
• Experience with Open edX or other e-learning solutions.

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate as a business analyst on projects, gathering and documenting business requirements, as well as stakeholders’, functional, and technical requirements.
• Participate in Presales & Tenders activities, including requirement gathering, solution design, and proposal development.
• Participate in Discovery phase activities, including the development of: product vision, user story map, backlog prioritisation, value stream map, BOM, non-functional requirement elicitation, and product roadmap, etc.
• Plan and conduct elicitation sessions to gather user requirements and understand business needs.
• Analyse and document internal business processes, identify areas for improvement, and suggest and implement solutions.
• Assist in improving and implementing business analysis and requirements management processes on projects.
• Work with Open edX, contributing to its customisation and integration to meet specific client needs or industry needs.
• Adapt to different project methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall, as per project requirements.
