VFX Artist (Game Development)

About the role

We’re looking for a talented VFX Artist to join our art team and help create impactful, atmospheric visual effects for games. You’ll work closely with artists, animators, and tech teams to bring gameplay moments to life — from subtle environmental effects to eye-catching combat and UI VFX.
 

What you’ll do

• Create real-time VFX for games (gameplay, environments, UI, abilities, FX loops)
• Work with shaders, particles, and animations to achieve high-quality results
• Optimize VFX for performance across target platforms
• Collaborate with artists, animators, and developers to match the game’s style and vision
• Iterate on feedback and polish effects to a production-ready level
   

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a VFX Artist in game development
• Strong understanding of real-time VFX pipelines
• Experience with game engines (Unity and/or Unreal Engine)
• Solid sense of timing, motion, color, and composition
• Ability to work in different visual styles (realistic, stylized, atmospheric)
• A strong portfolio/showreel demonstrating in-game VFX
   

Nice to have

• Experience with shaders (Shader Graph, Niagara, VFX Graph, etc.)
• Technical art background
• Experience working on shipped games
