Wordpress developer

IMPAX is looking for a WordPress Developer for long-term remote collaboration across several active projects.
Your responsibilities will include building and improving websites, fixing issues, configuring environments, and customizing themes and plugins to meet project needs.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Build WordPress websites based on provided designs (Figma, HTML/CSS/JS).
• Maintain and enhance existing projects.
• Develop and customize themes, including child themes.
• Create and modify custom plugins.
• Deploy websites on hosting platforms and cloud environments (SSH, control panels, BrainyCP, cPanel, etc.).
• Set up integrations with external APIs (OpenAI, DeepSeek, and others).
• Work with ACF, CPT, REST API, and optimize website performance and stability.
   

Requirements

• Proven experience building WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of PHP and WordPress architecture (hooks, filters, templates, functions.php).
• Confident HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills.
• Understanding of REST API and integrations (including AI services).
• Experience working with Linux servers and SSH is a plus.
• Knowledge of Git and ability to understand and analyze existing codebases.
• Attention to detail, responsibility, and ability to follow technical specifications.
