PHP Developer
At EXMO, we build products used by millions and continuously improve the reliability and performance of our fintech ecosystem. We’re now looking for a PHP Developer with solid experience in production systems, strong ownership, and readiness to work with both modern and legacy parts of the stack.
What you’ll work on
Develop new functionality for a high-load fintech platform
Refactor and optimize existing solutions to improve performance and stability
Integrate third-party payment systems and internal services
Analyze requirements, ask the right questions, and propose optimal implementation approaches
Maintain and improve the current codebase, fix issues, and contribute to overall system quality
What we expect
3+ years of commercial PHP development
Solid understanding of relational databases
Experience with Git and containerized environments (Docker)
Ability to write unit tests and work confidently with Unix-based systems
Understanding of core networking principles (HTTP, SSL/TLS, etc.)
Readiness to work with legacy parts of the system when needed
Familiarity with modern development practices, IDE tools, and AI-assisted workflows
Nice to have
Understanding of microservice architecture
Experience building high-load and fault-tolerant systems
Experience working with REST/JSON APIs
Basic knowledge of security and encryption practices
Experience with message queues/brokers
