PHP Developer $$$

At EXMO, we build products used by millions and continuously improve the reliability and performance of our fintech ecosystem. We’re now looking for a PHP Developer with solid experience in production systems, strong ownership, and readiness to work with both modern and legacy parts of the stack.

What you’ll work on

• Develop new functionality for a high-load fintech platform
• Refactor and optimize existing solutions to improve performance and stability
• Integrate third-party payment systems and internal services
• Analyze requirements, ask the right questions, and propose optimal implementation approaches
• Maintain and improve the current codebase, fix issues, and contribute to overall system quality

What we expect

• 3+ years of commercial PHP development
• Solid understanding of relational databases
• Experience with Git and containerized environments (Docker)
• Ability to write unit tests and work confidently with Unix-based systems
• Understanding of core networking principles (HTTP, SSL/TLS, etc.)
• Readiness to work with legacy parts of the system when needed
• Familiarity with modern development practices, IDE tools, and AI-assisted workflows

Nice to have

• Understanding of microservice architecture
• Experience building high-load and fault-tolerant systems
• Experience working with REST/JSON APIs
• Basic knowledge of security and encryption practices
• Experience with message queues/brokers
