Solution Architect

You’ll help us to do:
- Engage in pre-sales activities end-to-end, including client meetings, opportunity qualification, solution design, and proposal preparation & presentation.
- Conduct discovery activities to identify client needs, pain points, and technical requirements.
- Design end-to-end IoT architectures covering device design, connectivity, data ingestion, edge computing, cloud processing, and analytics pipelines.
- End-to-end device design accountability from concept through production
- Lead the pre-sale team that includes (HW Engineer, Firmware Engineers, and an Industrial designer )
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate IoT platforms, protocols, and technologies (MQTT, CoAP, Zigbee, LoRaWAN, 5G, WiFi, BLE, etc.) based on use case requirements.
- Address IoT-specific challenges, including device management, firmware updates, security at scale, latency requirements, and network bandwidth optimization.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party IoT services, sensors, and hardware platforms into comprehensive solutions.
- Translate business challenges into scalable and cost-effective technical solutions.
- Design and validate solution architectures, ensuring alignment with client objectives and company capabilities.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to estimate effort, define project scope, and ensure a smooth handover from pre-sales to delivery.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic and technical guidance throughout the sales and early delivery lifecycle.
Here’s the experience that will help you to do the job:
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, pre-sales, or technical consulting within software development, IT services
- 2+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying IoT solutions or IoT-adjacent architectures (industrial systems, smart infrastructure, connected devices).
- Proven ability to design and communicate end-to-end technical architectures for complex solutions.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, primarily AWS (preferred), better with expertise in AWS IoT Core, AWS Greengrass, AWS IoT Analytics, and related services.
- Familiarity with software architecture frameworks and methodologies, including SEI Views and Beyond (strong advantage) or TOGAF.
- Solid experience leading technical delivery teams, providing architectural guidance, and ensuring solution integrity throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Deep understanding of DevOps practices and modern infrastructure, including experience with Kubernetes (AWS ECS/EKS / Azure AKS), PaaS, and serverless offerings.
- Practical experience with back-end technologies (e.g., C#, Python, Node.js, Java) and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular).
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and similar.
- Proficient in RFP/RFI processes, proposal development, and preparation of technical documentation and estimates.
- Experience applying PERT estimation techniques and managing project planning uncertainty.
- Skilled in stakeholder expectation management, including dealing with ambiguity, building sound assumptions, defining risks, and establishing mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
- Strong time management, prioritization, and multitasking skills — able to handle multiple projects in parallel while ensuring timely delivery of all pre-sales and discovery artifacts.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation and deliver impactful client presentations.
- Proficient in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and support solution design, without compromising the quality or accuracy of deliverables.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of hardware design principles, component selection, PCB design considerations, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in embedded systems architecture, microcontroller/processor selection
- Experience with C/C++ programming language
- Experience in building embedded systems
