Game Dev Lead / Tech Partner $$$$ Offline
Hi! I’m Anna, founder of EASYFEET, the company you see on this profile. I’ve recently launched my 2nd project successfully, and now I’m looking for:
Game Dev Lead (MVP Stage part-time ) - Mobile Exergame with Camera + ML
Project Overview
We’re building a mobile exergame based on the classic kids’ game.
Players repeat simple jump combinations while the app tracks their movements using the phone’s camera and scores their accuracy — think Just Dance, but focused on outdoor, social play and fun.
We have already completed the PoC successfully: the Flutter app skeleton was implemented and ML model was selected and integrated.
Role Overview
Now we are entering the MVP development phase. We're looking for a mobile game development CTO who will own the technical direction of the MVP, define the development plan, guide developers, shape the technical strategy and lead the product into a fully functional MVP.
Your work will directly influence the version we present to investors.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Translate the product vision into a clear MVP technical roadmap.
- Define scope, priorities, trade-offs, and what features must be included in the MVP for investor validation.
- Formalize technical targets: latency, FPS, device support, tracking accuracy.
Architecture & Planning
- Finalize architecture for the MVP.
- Finalize modules (camera → ML → game logic → scoring → UI).
- Establish X sprint cycles with clear deliverables.
- Deliver MVP version till Feb 2026.
Developer Oversight
- Provide weekly code reviews & performance checks.
- Support the developer with ML integration and optimization.
- Organise clear GitHub Wiki of the project.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Prepare a short MVP tech specification for investors.
Collaboration
- Work directly with the team of Founder, Developer, Game Designer, UX\Motion Designer.
- Align engineering capabilities with gameplay and user experience.
- Communicate risks, edge cases, and alternatives.
About You - 5+ years in game development
- 2+ years in mobile game development
- Hands-on experience with computer vision or applied ML, ideally integrating models into mobile apps (MediaPipe, TFLite, MoveNet, etc.)
- Good understanding of real-time video processing, mobile performance optimization, and low-latency UX
- Comfortable guiding developers and giving architectural direction
- A genuine motivation to take ownership of the game development process and evolve this role into long-term business participation
- Can work independently in a startup environment, with async communication
Engagement - 20 hours/week (part-time)
- Duration: 2-3 months for the MVP planning & oversight
- Weekly syncs with the team
- Potential transition into full-time Tech Partner\CTO role after MVP success
Why This Is Interesting
You will join at the most critical moment - transforming a validated PoC into the first real version of a brand-new exergame genre for kids. You'll shape architecture, define the tech strategy, influence game mechanics, and lead the product into investor-ready form. If MVP succeeds, this with significant ownership.
Strong performance during the MVP stage evolves into a core technical Co-Founder role with a stock-option package (vesting-based) after mutual agreement.
