Senior Data Engineer $$$$ Offline

For our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join a long-term project within the Construction Project Analytics domain. The role is primarily remote with occasional onsite presence in Frankfurt.

About the Project

The team develops a comprehensive, action-oriented dashboard landscape for all stakeholders involved in construction projects (project managers, portfolio managers, schedulers, risk managers, cost controllers, etc.).
The goal is to enable data-driven management of construction projects, allowing early detection, mitigation, and prevention of project deviations from both a technical and commercial perspective.

The team operates in an agile setup following SAFe/SCRUM and adheres to the procedural standards of the CIO/CDO division of DB InfraGO. 

Your Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate technical components and data pipelines using AWS technologies in line with the client’s standards and DevOps principles.
• Model and implement logical and physical data models based on defined business requirements.
• Contribute to the architectural development of monitoring processes to ensure continuous improvement of data quality.
• Further develop CI/CD-oriented development and deployment processes.
• Ensure adherence to IT security, compliance, and DB operator requirements.

Must-Have Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in designing and developing scalable cloud-based data architectures (AWS).
• 4+ years of hands-on experience integrating, processing, and preparing (semi-)structured data with AWS services (AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon Athena, AWS Step Functions, Amazon S3).
• 5+ years of experience in querying, modeling, and managing relational data models and databases (SQL, star schema).
• 2+ years of practical experience in Advanced Analytics / Machine Learning (Python, related libraries, cloud deployment).
