Backend / LLM Engineer (Python, Azure, DevOps) $$ Offline

We are looking for a Backend / LLM Engineer with strong Azure and DevOps experience to help us design, build and operate data-driven applications that integrate Large Language Models into our products.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop backend services in Python (Django)
• Build and maintain REST APIs and integrations with third-party systems (e.g. Jira or similar tools)
• Design and implement LLM-based features (prompting, orchestration, retrieval, context management, evaluation)
• Work with Azure services to deploy and run applications (App Services / AKS / Functions, Storage, Azure OpenAI, etc.)
• Collaborate with product, data and frontend teams to design API contracts and data flows
• Implement and support the data layer (databases, caching, queues)
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code and participate in code reviews
• Monitor performance, reliability and costs; troubleshoot production issues
  
   

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role
• Strong experience with Python and Django (or Django REST Framework)
• Hands-on experience with Azure (deployment, networking basics, authentication, storage, monitoring)
• Experience integrating LLMs or other ML services into production applications
• Experience building integrations with tools like Jira or similar systems via REST APIs
• Strong understanding of API design, authentication/authorization, and data modeling
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORMs
• Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Upper Intermediate+ English (for communication with the team, documentation, and code review)
  
   

Nice to Have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – e.g. Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions / similar
• Experience with observability on Azure (Application Insights, logging, metrics, dashboards, alerting)
• Experience with containerization (Docker, basic Kubernetes concepts)
• Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments
