We are a small, high-performing team looking for a Senior Accountant who can combine technical excellence with initiative, ownership, and leadership potential. The ideal candidate is not only detail-oriented and reliable but also eager to improve workflows and grow into a leadership role. You’ll take ownership of end-to-end accounting for multiple US-based clients, ensuring accurate month-end close, managing AP/AR, and delivering insightful financial reporting.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, with US clients.
- Prior exposure to multi-client environments (accounting firm or outsourcing).
- CPA/CMA or similar certification is a plus.
- Recognized for intuition, problem-solving, and initiative.
- Eager to grow in a small, high-performance, tech-driven team.
Key Responsibilities
Multi-Client Accounting Leadership
- Manage full-cycle accounting for several US clients under GAAP.
- Handle month-end close, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and invoicing.
- Maintain clean, audit-ready financials across multiple entities.
- Communicate directly with clients, manage expectations, and serve as a trusted advisor.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Maintain and occasionally update the Skyfin Strategic Finance Dashboard (Google Sheets).
- Build and improve internal reporting tools, ensuring accurate KPI tracking.
- Analyze financial trends and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Support forecasting and scenario planning when needed.
Tech-Forward Workflow Optimization
- Utilize QuickBooks Online daily; familiarity with Xero is a plus.
- Use Asana or similar tools for workflow tracking.
- Proactively identify areas for automation and workflow improvement, leveraging AI and cloud-based tools.
- Collaborate on designing smarter, scalable internal systems.
Leadership & Ownership
- Take full ownership of assigned clients and workflows.
- Demonstrate initiative in solving issues independently.
- Show potential to mentor junior accountants and manage subordinates as the team grows.
- Balance hands-on accounting with strategic thinking to enhance efficiency.
Technical Requirements
- Strong QuickBooks expertise (must-have).
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP and US-based accounting standards.
- Advanced Google Sheets skills (complex formulas, dashboards, automation-friendly structure).
- Familiarity with cloud-based finance systems, integrations, and modern accounting stacks.
- Experience with Asana or similar project management tools.
- General tech-savviness and ability to quickly learn new tools (AI tools familiarity is a plus).

Work Schedule
- Must overlap with US Eastern Time (ET).
- Preferred schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET initially; may later shift to an earlier ET schedule (6:00 AM ET).
