Compliance/Certification Specialist Offline

Gonser is looking for an experienced Compliance/Certification Specialist to join our team for a full-time, long-term, remote or hybrid position (possibly with some weekly dedicated work in the beautiful office in Lviv).
 

Career path

You will be cooperating with our Purchasing Department on certifications and compliance with the norms of the goods that we sell in our online e-commerce platform, which has been a market leader in Switzerland for 16 years. You will take over the existing system and experience in certification/compliance and expand this sphere of our work into a set of more reliable and progressive solutions under the supervision from our senior specialist and using the help of our external expert.

In the long run, you will be the main specialist in our compliance/certification field in the EU and Swiss environment, ensuring alignment with our business goals and technical standards.
 

Key Responsibilities

·       Monitor updates in EU and Swiss legislation and technical regulations related to various product categories.

·       Analyze certification requirements for imported goods: CE certificates, Declarations of Conformity, test reports, technical files, etc.

·       Determine which certificates and documents are required for each type of product according to European and Swiss standards.

·       Review and validate documentation provided by suppliers to ensure compliance with relevant norms.

·       Prepare and update internal checklists, guidelines, and instructions related to product certification.

·       Research and verify reliable sources of regulatory information for specific product types.
 

Requirements

·       Background in law, regulatory compliance, international trade, or product certification.

·       Understanding of EU regulatory frameworks (CE, REACH, RoHS, LFGB, LVD, EMC etc.).

·       Ability to analyze regulatory documents and interpret technical standards.

·       Strong research skills and ability to quickly locate relevant legal and technical information.

·       English — strong working proficiency (B2 or above).

·       Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and systematic approach to documentation.
