Traffic Data Analyst $$$$ Offline
Gypsy is looking for a Traffic Data Analyst to explore marketing traffic performance, player cohorts, and acquisition ROI. Youβll connect data, marketing, and finance β ensuring that traffic investments translate into measurable impact and sustainable business growth.
π§ What makes you a great match:
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on traffic or marketing performance;
- Deep understanding of affiliate marketing, traffic attribution, and ROI metrics;
- Proven experience in analyzing LTV, CAC, payback, and cohort retention curves;
- Strong SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy) skills for data exploration and cohort-based analysis;
- Understanding of predictive modeling principles and experience collaborating with data science teams;
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate data into clear business actions;
Curiosity, persistence, and strong attention to detail β you dig until the answer is found.
β¨ Nice to have:
- Experience in iGaming;
- Familiarity with traffic structures (affiliate, media buying, SEO, PPC);
- Experience integrating data from multiple tracking systems;
- Knowledge of ETL / DWH concepts (Airflow, dbt, Trino, etc.);
Background in financial analytics or ROI forecasting.
π Your daily adventures:
- Analyze the performance of traffic sources and affiliates by cohort, geography, device, and channel to identify top- and underperforming sources;
- Monitor payback periods, retention curves, and profitability by cohort to highlight scalable versus unprofitable traffic;
- Work with the Finance Team to reconcile marketing spend with player value and revenue, contributing to monthly P&L reviews and forecasts;
- Build and maintain frameworks for assessing traffic quality using engagement, deposit, and retention KPIs, while detecting anomalies or potential fraud;
- Collaborate with Data Science on LTV and churn prediction models by defining input features and validating model outcomes;
- Provide actionable recommendations on which traffic sources to scale or pause based on ROI and trend analysis;
- Detect and investigate unusual traffic patterns, drops, or spikes, and propose corrective actions;
- Develop and maintain dashboards that visualize acquisition KPIs, traffic cost efficiency, and ROI trends;
- Ensure consistent definitions and metrics across affiliate, finance, and product analytics teams;
- Present findings and insights to management, transforming complex data into clear business decisions.
