Server Administrator

Focuses specifically on server setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Work Hours: 2–4 hours per day, approximately 20 hours per week.
Work Type: Task-based or on-demand (candidates may be needed for specific tasks)

Requirements:
 

• Minimum of 2–5 years in a similar role as a System Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or Network Administrator.
• Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS environments.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Expertise in managing servers
• Experience with backup tools and disaster recovery planning.
• Ability to restore data and systems efficiently in case of failure.
• Understanding of IT security best practices.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and security patches.
• Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve IT issues promptly.
• Familiarity with system logs and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to install, configure, and manage software applications.
• Familiarity with database management systems and office productivity tools.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
 

• Checking server uptime every day
• Programming bash scripts to optimize tasks
• Fixing server issues on load or no space
• Installing additional software if required
• Adding space if required.
• Clean up server logs to free up space
• Checking backup functionality
• Upgrading/downgrading servers via digitalocean.
• Create Shopify extension via custom script
• Add subdomains to the multi-app server for new apps
• Update subdomains for new apps
• Cloning database and files to create new apps
