.Net Team Lead $$$$ Offline
About the Role:
You will lead a cross-functional .NET team building high-load, cloud-native products in iGaming. Your focus - delivery, quality, and people. You will set engineering standards, make key architectural decisions, mentor developers, and ensure we hit our SLAs while keeping code clean and future-proof.
What You’ll Do:
- Own delivery for your team: planning, estimation, risks, scope, and on-time releases
- Set engineering excellence: SOLID, DRY, KISS, Clean Architecture, ADRs, code review culture
- Drive system design: microservices, event-driven architecture, contracts, resilience patterns
- Lead technical initiatives: performance, reliability, cost optimization, security baseline
- Work closely with Product, QA, DevOps, Data to align goals and priorities
- Establish observability: SLOs, error budgets, tracing, metrics, structured logs
- Manage incidents and postmortems, reduce MTTR, prevent recurrences
- Mentor and grow engineers, run 1:1s, feedback, hiring, onboarding, career paths
- Keep the tech stack modern: .NET 8, CI/CD, dependency management, upgrade strategy
- Coordinate with stakeholders, communicate clear status and trade-offs
Experience and background requirements:
- 6+ years of commercial C#/.NET experience, 2+ years leading a team or tech lead role
- Strong experience with .NET 6+ (ideally .NET 8), ASP.NET Core, an open-source web development framework | .NET Core WebAPI
- Solid understanding of DDD, CQRS, event-driven and distributed systems
- Messaging expertise: Kafka or RabbitMQ, schemas, idempotency, retries, DLQ
- Databases: Postgres at scale, query tuning, transactions, indexing, plus Redis as a cache, ElasticSearch, NoSQL
- Cloud and containers: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS preferred (EKS, RDS, S3, IAM)
- CI/CD: GitLab pipelines, trunk-based or GitFlow, feature flags, blue-green/canary
- Observability: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, ELK or OpenSearch, tracing in prod
- Testing strategy: unit, contract, integration, load, chaos basics
- Strong code review skills and hands-on debugging of production issues
- English B2+ for daily collaboration and documentation
Nice to have:
- Experience in gambling or fintech: payments, KYC/AML, compliance, audit trails
- Orleans or actor-model experience for high-throughput flows
- Analytical stack: Apace Iceberg, AWS Redshift, Debezium, Spark
- Knowledge of data streaming and exactly-once patterns in Kafka
- Security practices: OWASP ASVS, secrets management, least privilege in AWS
- Infra-as-code basics: Helm, Terraform, Kustomize
- Experience with performance and memory profiling in .NET under load
