Unity 3D Skill Animator (VFX + Character Animation)
We are looking for a skilled 3D Animator to create high-quality skill animations for a 3D game built in Unity. The animations will represent player abilities, spells, and attacks β each with strong visual appeal and impact. An example reference of the expected level of detail will be provided.
The ideal candidate should have experience creating game-ready animations and VFX, and a solid understanding of animation production pipelines for Unity.
π§ Responsibilities:
- Create high-quality skill and ability animations for a 3D character-based game in Unity
- Integrate and test animations directly within Unity (including timing, transitions, and effects)
- Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure gameplay readability and visual balance
- Optimize animations and VFX for performance while maintaining a high level of detail
- Deliver clean, game-ready animation files compatible with Unityβs animation system
β Requirements:
- Proven experience in 3D animation for games (preferably Unity-based projects)
- Strong understanding of animation principles and VFX integration
- Experience with tools such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max
- Familiarity with Unity Animator, Timeline, and particle systems
- Ability to balance visual detail and optimization for real-time performance
- Good communication skills and attention to visual consistency

- Experience creating combat or ability-based skill animations
- Knowledge of shader effects or VFX Graph in Unity
- Background in cinematic or stylized animation

- ~20 skill animations in total
- For now, we are collecting quotes per skill at a similar level of detail
- Reference examples will be shared upon discussion
