Middle+ Full-Stack PHP (Laravel)

We’re looking for a proactive Middle+ Full-Stack PHP (Laravel) Developer on to join our remote-first team. You'll build and evolve a gamified quests & challenges web platform used for education/tourism-think location-based tasks, progress tracking, and rewards - plus the internal/admin tools that power it.

This is a long-term role with engaging tasks and room to grow. You should be comfortable switching between projects and occasionally dealing with legacy code - we modernize where it makes sense.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and delivering new features and APIs in Laravel.
• Building responsive, accessible UIs with Livewire and clean HTML/CSS.
• Creating and extending admin panels and back-office tools with Filament.
• Modeling data and writing efficient queries using Eloquent (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Maintaining/improving existing codebases with thoughtful refactors and tests.
• Working in Docker and collaborating via Git with code reviews.
• Integrating 3rd-party services (payments, maps, notifications) and message brokers.
• Working closely with PM, QA, and Design; writing clear tickets/PRs.
   

Requirements

• PHP 8+ in production.
• Laravel 10-12 (queues, jobs, events, policies, testing).
• Livewire for interactive frontends and/or Filament for admin tooling (at least one is a must; both is ideal).
• Strong HTML5/CSS3 (responsive layouts with Flexbox/Grid, good semantics, basic accessibility).
• MySQL & PostgreSQL + Eloquent ORM expertise.
• Docker for local/dev environments.
• Git (branching, clean PRs, review etiquette).
• Comfortable with async comms and owning deliverables end-to-end.

Good to know:

• Message brokers (e.g., Redis, SQS/RabbitMQ, Kafka basics).
• AWS (ECS/Fargate/Lambda/S3/CloudWatch) or similar cloud.
• PHPUnit/Pest fundamentals; basic JavaScript/Alpine.js familiarity.
