Lead Customer-Facing Engineer
We’re hiring a Lead Customer-Facing Engineer for a fast-growing European SaaS company building a browser-native platform for live events think webinars, product demos, virtual trainings and meetings that run smoothly without any installs.
This role sits at the intersection of presales solution design and hands-on engineering. You’ll partner with customers, turn their use cases into elegant solutions, and ship crisp PoCs that show real value—while collaborating closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering.
The impact you’ll have
- Be the technical counterpart on high-stakes deals: run discovery, shape solutions, and guide customers to success.
- Build fast, reliable PoCs in Vue 3 + TypeScript with GraphQL that integrate cleanly with customer stacks.
- Influence the roadmap by channeling real customer feedback back to Product & Engineering.
- Mentor teammates and raise the bar for technical storytelling, documentation, and demos.
What you’ll do
- Lead technical discovery sessions with prospects and customers.
- Design scalable integrations using APIs and webhooks (auth, retries, idempotency, security).
- Deliver live demos, technical deep dives, and short concept builds that unblock decisions.
- Create internal tools, sample apps, and reference architectures.
- Partner with Product to prioritize features and close feedback loops.
- Coach Solutions Engineers and help level-up presales excellence across the team.
What you bring
- 5+ years in Solutions/Sales Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role.
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead / Principal-level engineer.
- Strong command of Vue 3 + TypeScript (Composition API, state management, Nuxt/SSR a plus).
- Practical GraphQL experience (Apollo/urql; caching, pagination, error handling, subscriptions).
- Solid knowledge of APIs & webhooks and SaaS integrations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management; fluent English.
Nice to have
- Background in startup/scale-up environments.
- Familiarity with Zapier/Make and automation workflows.
- Contributions to internal tooling, SDKs, example apps, or technical content.
- Experience around live video / events / WebRTC is a bonus.
