Automation QA Engineer (Mobile) (offline)

Project overview: Embark. Nautical Maps. Embark is the Google Maps of the sea. We build beautiful nautical maps to make the nautical experience personal and stress free. The product consists of three components:

A React Native mobile application that needs evolution to scale and to reach high customer satisfaction. This application will run on Android, iOS as well as on the Android OpenSource Platform in certain embedded devices.
A web application (react-js) that needs to develop consistently with the mobile app
Infrastructure and platform development of existing micro-services
The existing application is available via AppStore, and Google Play. The application is named ‘Embark: Nautical Charts’. The web application is also available on www.letsembark.io.

While already in the market, the product is in its initial phase of its lifecycle, and the product roadmap is dynamic to maximize the user impact.

Job summary
The job requires a responsible, experienced, independent, and self-driven personality. As part of the C-Map remote team, you will be an important part of building the QA area. For the right person, this comes with great opportunity and much freedom to affect the daily work. You will work closely with the rest of the team and you will be involved in the testing of both C-MAP Platform and Embark-native apps.

Required skills:
Experience in automation testing
Experience in software manual testing
Good knowledge and understanding of the software development cycle and the role of a tester in it
Excellent communication skills
Good analytical skills and requirements analysis experience
Experience of working in Agile/Scrum distributed teams
Theoretical background in computer science, computer engineering or similar

Will be an advantage:
Experience in automation testing for Mobile apps and Javascript
Experience with different types of web applications testing (JavaScript based frameworks will be a plus)
Knowledge of using mobile automation tools such as Detox, Appium etc.
Experience with CI/CD
ISTQB Foundation certification
Experience of working on similar projects (related to maps and geolocation)
Experience of working and using CI tools
Knowledge of unit test frameworks such as Mocha, Chai, Jest etc.
Release management
Experience of working on macOS
