About the Vision

We are building the foundation of a Human Cognitive Universe -- a generative architecture that models how thought, emotion, and intention evolve over time in human consciousness. 

Our first practical step is to translate this framework into transformative, human-centered mental health applications, distributed through the App Store ecosystem.

These apps won’t just track behavior -- they’ll help users understand and navigate their internal cognitive phases (forming → resonance → expression → integration → dissolution), enabling self-awareness, reflection, and healing through interactive AI companions.

At the core lies Nooseth, our research-based cognitive framework that merges phenomenological insight with computational modeling -- building bridges between psychology, language, and machine intelligence.

We believe this technology can form the foundation for a new generation of “thinking apps”: systems that adapt to the user’s mental rhythm and support meaningful change, creativity, and emotional balance.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Founding Engineer (AI/ML) who can help bring this vision into reality -- someone who understands both the science of cognition and the art of building clean, resilient products.

You’ll co-design and prototype early products built on the Cognitive Universe architecture, beginning with one or two small but conceptually deep mental-health applications (journaling companions, conversational reflections, attention alignment tools).

You’ll also help shape the core AI/ML layer that operationalizes the Nooseth model: phase detection, affective dynamics, conversational resonance, and personalized reasoning flow.

This is a co-founder role -- not a job.

We’re forming a very small, Basecamp-style team: no bureaucracy, no over-management -- just focused builders who share a vision for scalable, beautiful, ethical technology.

Who You Are

• AI/ML generalist or cognitive-tech builder with experience in large-language-model fine-tuning, multi-modal learning, or agentic architectures.
• Comfortable prototyping rapidly in Python / Swift / React Native / PyTorch / LangChain / MLX or similar.
• Curious about human cognition, psychology, systems theory, or neuro-phenomenology.
• Values depth over speed; believes that technology can serve inner transformation as much as outer productivity.
• Financially self-sustaining for an initial bootstrapping period (3-9 months), with shared long-term equity.
• Excited about building something transformational, not just transactional.

What You’ll Do

• Co-architect and implement early prototypes of the Cognitive Universe SDK, modeling cognitive-phase transitions and resonance mapping.
• Build and iterate App Store-ready mental health applications demonstrating phase-aware interaction (journaling, reflection, guided insight).
• Collaborate on the design of data pipelines for cognitive signal capture (language, rhythm, affect).
• Shape the ethical, scientific, and experiential direction of the company alongside the founder.
• Participate in strategy for bootstrapping → grants → selective fundraising, balancing profit and scientific contribution.

Our Long-Term Direction

We aim to create a constellation of apps and tools -- both commercial and open-research -- that share a common cognitive backbone.

Each product contributes to a living ecosystem of reflective technology: from personal insight companions → to collective cognitive analytics → to hybrid AI-human research platforms exploring how consciousness evolves.

Our goal is not only profitability but scientific and social impact:

to advance understanding of thought itself, while helping individuals live more coherent, emotionally aware, and creative lives.
