Reconciliation Manager
We are now looking for a Reconciliation Manager to take ownership of financial transaction accuracy, ensure trust in our payment processes, and maintain seamless coordination between internal teams and payment providers.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and accurate collection of all transaction data.
- Consolidate internal merchant records with detailed reports from payment providers (deposits, withdrawals, chargebacks, adjustments).
- Match merchant records against provider statements, validating transaction amounts, dates, and order IDs.
- Reconcile gross transaction volumes with net settlements received in bank accounts, factoring in fees, chargebacks, refunds, and rolling reserves.
- Detect, categorize, and track discrepancies (missing payments, timing gaps, incorrect amounts, unapplied fees).
- Investigate unresolved items collaboratively with Finance, Payment Business teams, and payment providers.
- Ensure high-value and aged discrepancies are addressed promptly.
- Develop and maintain clear reconciliation procedures for high-volume, multi-method payment flows.
- Identify automation opportunities using specialized reconciliation tools and contribute to process improvement.
- Track daily payment provider approval and conversion rates.
- Detect and escalate processing errors for quick resolution.
- Provide regular reports and insights on reconciliation performance and trends to senior management.
- Act as the primary point of contact for payment providers.
- Optimize payment success rates and resolve transaction issues.
- Collaborate with Customer Care to investigate and resolve payment-related user inquiries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred.
- 1-2 years reconciliation experience is required.
- English proficiency level (both written and spoken) at B2 (Upper intermediate) is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions.
Experience with high-volume transaction matching. - Experience in process automation and the implementation of reconciliation technologies.
- Experience in working with data visualization tools (e.g.Tableau/Power BI) to present and communicate reconciliation findings and trends.
- Strong data analysis, investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
