Senior Data Engineer

What you will do:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines for the Data Platform
  • Proactively contribute to the research and modernization of the Data Platform
  • Ensure the quality of data presented in BI dashboards
  • On duty days (approximately 20-30% of time), support stakeholders’ ad-hoc questions and requests, and monitor BI platform morning availability
  • Develop and support integrations with 3rd party systems
  • Collaborate with Gismart’s stakeholders (user acquisition, billing, finance, and other teams) and BI & Analytics team (data engineers, data analysts and scientists) to troubleshoot data issues and optimize data workflows

 

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of experience in data engineering
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with data warehousing, data lake, and data lakehouse concepts
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Experience with AWS, Amazon Redshift, dbt, Apache Spark, Apache Iceberg, Apache Airflow
  • Advanced SQL, hands-on experience with designing production-level Python code
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field, or other relevant equivalent

 

Good to Have:

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform
  • Experience with data quality tools or frameworks, such as Great Expectations
  • Experience with business intelligence software, such as Tableau (preferably) or Power BI
  • Experience with billing systems, company financial reporting, subscription monetization products
