Chief Technology Officer

Role Overview:

You will own the technology strategy, execution, and outcomes. As CTO, you’ll scale a secure, compliant, and cost-efficient platform; lead Engineering, DevOps/SRE, and InfoSec; and partner with Product and Commercial to deliver measurable revenue impact.

 

     What You Own:

  • Technology Strategy & Architecture: Multi-year tech roadmap aligned to company goals; target architecture for multi-brand, multi-market iGaming (microservices, APIs, data).
  • Platform Reliability & Scale: SLOs/SLIs for availability, latency, and throughput; capacity planning, resilience, incident management, disaster recovery, and performance engineering.
  • Information Security: InfoSec program, pathways; secure SDLC, vulnerability management, audits, incident response.
  • Delivery & Ops Excellence: DevOps/SRE practices, CI/CD velocity, change failure rate, MTTR; clear release governance and runbooks.
  • Cost & Vendor Management: Cloud spend ownership and FinOps; contracts with key tech and content providers; build/partner/buy decisions.
  • Team & Culture: Hire and grow senior leaders; establish a high-accountability, low-ego culture; clear career ladders and mentoring.
     

     Key Responsibilities:

1) Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define the 12—24-month technology strategy; translate business OKRs into an executable engineering plan.
  • Maintain a pragmatic approach for core platform, content integrations, payments, CRM, and other tooling.

2) Architecture & Platform

  • Evolve a modular, API-first platform: core, account/wallet, content aggregation, integrations, promo engine, CRM hooks.
  • Standardize integration patterns (providers, aggregators, payments, KYC), versioning, and SLAs.

3) Reliability, Security, Compliance

  • Set SLOs and error budgets; drive observability (logs/metrics/traces) and incident management.
  • Lead security posture (IAM, secrets, network segmentation, DDoS/WAF, data encryption, backups); oversee audits and certifications.

4) Delivery & Ways of Working

  • Mature CI/CD (trunk-based, automated tests, canary/blue-green); reduce lead time for change and change failure rate.
  • Institute architecture reviews, tech standards, and a transparent roadmap with Product.
     

     Our Criteria:

  • 8–10+ years in software engineering with 4+ years leading multi-team orgs; prior head-of-engineering/CTO in high-scale, regulated or fintech/iGaming-adjacent domains.
  • Proven record shipping reliable, compliant, revenue-critical platforms in multi-market environments.
  • Deep experience with cloud (AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, IaC (Terraform), CI/CD, and observability.
  • Strong security and data privacy foundation (GDPR; ISO/SOC experience a plus).
  • Excellent stakeholder management; can translate tech tradeoffs into business impact.
  • Fluent English (Upper-Intermediate+).
