Senior AI Automation Engineer (n8n / LLMs) to $5000

PipelineX Labs (stealth AI startup; London-based, product coming soon) is building production-grade automation and assistant products for SMBs and scaleups. We’re hiring a Senior AI Automation Engineer to design, implement, and operate robust automation flows that combine workflow platforms (n8n, Langchain), LLMs (GPT / Claude), and small serverless glue services.
 

You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering (2–4 engineers) to turn ambiguous business problems into reliable, observable automation pipelines used by paying customers. This role is hands-on: you’ll author flows, write glue Node.js/TypeScript microservices, implement retries/alerts, and optimize prompt logic and RAG pipelines.
 

What you’ll do (Responsibilities)

• Design and implement production automations in n8n
• Build small serverless glue services (Node.js/TypeScript) to extend workflow capabilities.
• Integrate LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.), iterate prompts, and handle fallbacks and content filtering.
• Implement observability: logging, metrics, retries, SLOs and runbooks for flows.
• Parse and normalize messy inputs (emails, PDFs, attachments) and convert them into structured data.
• Work with vector DBs / RAG setups for retrieval and context building.
• Mentor engineers on safe LLM usage and automation best practices.
