Senior Data Scientist

ELEKS Artificial Intelligence Office is looking for a Senior Data Scientist in Ukraine.

ABOUT PROJECT

Our Client is Europe’s leading health, sport, and leisure group. The organization operates 116 clubs, including 100 in the UK and additional locations across the Republic of Ireland, mainland Europe, and Asia. With billions in annual turnover, the group offers premium sports facilities, tennis courts, gyms, and wellness programs for its members.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of practical experience as a Data Science Engineer or similar role.
• 2+ years of proven experience in building and deploying chatbots or conversational agents in production.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LangFlow, RAG pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python and chatbot development toolchains.
• Deep understanding of conversational AI principles, including dialog management, fine-tuning, and model evaluation.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• A proactive mindset to propose innovative ideas and guide the technical roadmap for future chatbot releases.

   

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the development and improvement of an AI-powered chatbot integrated into a membership ecosystem for iOS and Android.
• Ensure scalability, security, and a high-quality user experience in production-ready conversational solutions.
• Design and optimize conversational flows, personalization features, and integration with client documentation systems.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders (Product Owners, Digital Director, consultants) to align chatbot strategy with business goals.
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists within the team.
• Work closely with cross-functional colleagues (Backend, Mobile, QA, BA, DevOps) in an Agile/Kanban delivery model.
