SEO Specialist (Local SEO, Geo and AI Search)

We are looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to join our growing digital marketing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Local SEO, geo-targeted strategies, and AI-powered search optimisation. You will play a key role in helping our clients improve their online visibility, drive high-quality traffic, and achieve measurable growth through search.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies with a focus on local and geo-specific search optimisation.
• Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis, with attention to local and regional market trends.
• Optimise Google Business Profiles, local citations, directories, and maps listings.
• Create and manage content strategies designed to capture AI search results (e.g., SGE, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Bing AI, etc.).
• Monitor, analyse, and report on SEO performance using analytics tools (Google Analytics, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.).
• Stay up to date with AI-driven search trends and incorporate innovative strategies to ensure visibility across emerging platforms.
• Collaborate with content, paid ads, and web development teams to ensure SEO best practices are integrated across all campaigns.
• Build backlinks and local authority through outreach, partnerships, and ethical link-building practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an SEO Specialist (minimum 2–3 years).
• Strong knowledge of Local SEO, geo-targeting, and multi-location optimisation.
• Familiarity with AI search integrations and the evolving landscape of search engines.
• Hands-on experience with SEO tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO, etc.
• Excellent understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have (Bonus Skills):

• Experience with schema markup, structured data, and advanced technical SEO.
• Knowledge of AI tools for keyword research and content optimisation.
• Understanding of international SEO and multilingual optimisation.
• Familiarity with local advertising platforms and Google Local Service Ads.
