AI/ML Engineer (Azure)

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents, Microsoft Azure  with background in Machine Learning or Data Science.  In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge language models and agent-based systems focused on complex document and image AI analysis and processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, fine-tune, and optimize large language models (LLMs) and build AI agent systems around document processing, analysis and intelligence
• Develop and implement prompt engineering techniques to enhance model capabilities and performance
• Train Machine Learning models on new datasets
• Implement evaluation frameworks to benchmark LLM and agent performance across various metrics, measuring model's accuracy
• Optimize models for production deployment with attention to latency, throughput, and cost
• Perform complex document and image analysis using Microsoft Azure. 
• Develop techniques to ensure responsible AI deployment, including safety guardrails and bias mitigation

• Work closely on solutions architecture and prototypes  with the team and stakeholders

   

Requirements

• Expertise in building multi-agent systems using Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Practical experience fine-tuning, serving, deploying  and optimizing LLMs (e.g., GPT models, Llama, Claude, Mistral)
• Experience training Machine Learning models
• Strong proficiency in  Python.
• Strong experience with one or each of Microsoft Azure platforms like AI Foundry, Document Intelligence, AI Search, Data Storage, Functions and others.
• Practical experience with model deployment on Azure
• Practical experience and knowledge of Azure data and server security practices
• Expertise in NLP techniques including prompt engineering, embeddings.
• Strong understanding of LLM evaluation methodologies and metrics, optimization techniques like model quantization, distillation, and other optimization techniques
• Experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.) 
• Experience with multi-agent frameworks (such as CrewAI, LangGraph, AutoGen, or similar)

• Strong experience with transformer-based models and frameworks (Hugging Face, PyTorch, TensorFlow)

   

   

Nice-to-Have skills:

• Solution/architecture oriented midset
• Knowledge of reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) techniques
• Experience with multimodal models combining text, vision, and audio
• Knowledge of LLM security, safety, and alignment techniques
