Delivery director

We are looking for a responsible proactive manager who will drive the PM department and ensure smooth project delivery on all stages.

 

About you:

  • 8+ years of experience in project management in the field of software outsourcing/outstaffing industry
  • Experience in leadership positions such as Delivery Manager, Program Manager, or Head of PMO.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a team of project managers.
  • Experience in building processes, rules, policies, and project management standards.
  • Experience in conducting presale activities.
  • Deep knowledge of project management principles and methodologies (PMBoK, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall) and understanding of their practical application.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, leadership qualities, responsibility, and proactivity.
  • Advanced English proficiency (both spoken and written); fluent in Ukrainian
  • Nice to have: Project management certifications (PMP, Scrum Master, etc.)

     

Your future tasks:

— Presale & Discovery:

  • Assigning Project Managers and Business Analysts responsible for conducting Presale and Discovery activities.
  • Overseeing the work of Project Managers and Business Analysts during Presale and Discovery phases.
  • Validating project estimates.
  • Participating in Presale activities when needed.

— Project Delivery:

  • Full ownership of the delivery process across all projects, including planning, coordination, quality control, and on-time delivery.
  • Establishing and monitoring project quality standards.
  • Handling and resolving project-related issues.
  • Managing project risks.

— Client Management:

  • Maintaining regular communication with clients and key project stakeholders.
  • Collecting feedback, monitoring client satisfaction, and ensuring continued cooperation.
  • Implementing communication and client interaction standards to ensure a high level of service.

— Team Management:

  • Hiring and onboarding Project Managers and Business Analysts.
  • Determining optimal workload for PMs and BAs, coordinating their activities, and efficiently allocating projects among the team.
  • Defining and tracking KPIs for Project Managers; conducting performance appraisals.
  • Providing mentorship, professional development, and upskilling opportunities for the PM team.
  • Mentoring Junior PMs and supporting new PMs during the onboarding process.

— Processes:

  • Developing, implementing, and continuously improving delivery standards and processes.
  • Ensuring Project Managers comply with established delivery methodologies and standards.

— Other Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with marketing, sales, HR, finance, and CTO departments on cross-functional initiatives.
  • Contributing to strategic planning and supporting the achievement of company-wide initiatives.
