Middle PHP Developer (Symfony)

A Ukrainian PayTech product company founded in 2016. The team has developed a SaaS platform that serves as a technological hub for online payment orchestration.

The company collaborates with leading market players such as Stripe, Google Pay, Apple Pay, MasterCard, Visa, AWS, and has already implemented over 450 payment methods for clients worldwide.

Currently, they are looking for an ambitious and talented Middle PHP Developer (Symfony) to join a team of 6 backend engineers (including a Team Lead) and work on complex technical solutions.

Tech stack:
PHP 8.1, Symfony 5–6, PostgreSQL, PHPUnit 9, Kafka, Kibana, Sentry, Redis, Elasticsearch, React Admin, API Platform, AWS (SQS), Docker, PhpStorm.

Requirements:

• 2–3+ years of experience with PHP 7.3+;
• 2+ years with Symfony (v5/6);
• 1+ year with PostgreSQL or MySQL;
• Experience developing REST services and APIs;
• Unit testing with PHPUnit;
• Experience with Docker;
• Knowledge of GIT, SDLC, CI/CD (GitLab);
• Strong OOP knowledge, principles of SOLID, DRY, YAGNI, KISS, GoF;
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum/Kanban;

• Strong analytical skills, proactivity, willingness to grow and collaborate with the team;

   

Nice to have:

• Experience with ELK stack, Fluentd, Sentry, Victoria Metrics, Grafana;
• Experience with SQS, Kafka, Redis;
• Background in FinTech projects.

Responsibilities:

• Writing clean, scalable, and maintainable code;
• Integration and support of payment providers: updates, bug fixes;
• Optimizing solutions and building internal developer tools;
• Maintaining technical documentation;
• Working with technical debt;
• Conducting code reviews.

Interview process:
