DevOps Engineer $$$ Offline

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise who will take ownership of designing, implementing, validating, and automating both migration processes and Landing Zone deployments.

Responsibilities:

• Design and automate Landing Zone deployments (Hub & Spoke), including networking, firewall/NSG rules, governance policies, and monitoring.
• Build and migrate CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions) to support VM, application, and infrastructure deployments.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Enhance pipelines with validation and automation (linting, security scans, deployment tests).
• Develop migration runbooks and automate deployment/rollback procedures.
• Automate provisioning and migration of databases into Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Validate workloads through automated post-migration checks (networking, SSL, backups, performance, DB integrity).
• Create and maintain clear documentation for pipelines, runbooks, and troubleshooting.

• Contribute to wave-based migration execution with Azure Migrate, ASR, and database migration tools.

   

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven background as a DevOps Engineer in Azure migration or cloud transformation projects.
• Strong expertise with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions pipelines.
• Solid knowledge of Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates for IaC.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Landing Zone (Hub & Spoke) design, validation, and automation.
• Practical experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL migrations into Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Proficiency in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
• Familiarity with validation frameworks (linting, security scanning, automated testing).
• Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex migration challenges under time pressure.
• Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, App Insights, Splunk).
• Knowledge of policy-as-code and security validation in CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on exposure to enterprise-scale migrations with wave-based cutovers.

• Awareness of FinOps practices and Azure cost optimization.
