Join us as a Mergers and Acquisitions Lead

How exactly you can influence the development of the company:
Strategy & Pipeline Development:
• collaborate with CEO/CFO/COO to define M&A strategy aligned with corporate goals
• identify target sectors and acquisition criteria
• build and maintain a pipeline of potential targets
Market & Target Research
• conduct industry, competitor, and market research to identify opportunities
• evaluate potential targets using qualitative and quantitative filters
• build profiles and initial assessments of companies
Financial Modeling & Valuation
• create and maintain financial models, perform valuation using DCF, comparables, precedent transactions, etc
• conduct synergy analysis and scenario modeling
Due Diligence & Deal Execution
• lead cross-functional due diligence, coordinating with legal, tax, HR, IT, operations, etc
• work closely with external advisors (law firms, consultants)
• drive deal structuring, pricing, and risk evaluation
• prepare investment memos and decision materials for management and the board
Negotiation & Deal Closing
• support or lead negotiations of term sheets, LOIs, SPAs, and final agreements
• liaise with sellers, advisors, and internal leadership to bring deals to close
Post-Merger Integration Planning
• partner with functional leads to design integration plans before closing
• track progress on synergies, key initiatives, and milestones
• support change management and communication
Process & Infrastructure Building
• define and establish internal M&A processes, templates, tools, and governance
• build a knowledge base of deals, evaluations, and outcomes
• if applicable, recruit and lead a small team (analysts/associates)
Reporting & Communication
• regularly brief the executive team and board on pipeline, deal progress, and performance
• track KPIs on acquisitions and their integration success
Challenges for six months:
• building the Mergers&Acquisitions process in the company: description, structure, principles
• developing post-M&A processes — integration into Uklon ecosystem
• market and sector analysis for potential M&A opportunities: Ukraine and other markets
• preparation of the company’s M&A strategy
• organizing the work of a cross-functional team
• detailed development of 3–5 M&A target companies
To achieve the results, you will need:
• strategic thinking – ability to align M&A with company goals
• financial modeling & valuation – strong Excel and analysis skills
• market research & target evaluation – industry and competitive analysis
• deal execution – experience managing due diligence, structuring, and closing
• project management – ability to lead cross-functional deal processes
• negotiation – working with sellers, advisors, and executives
• communication & presentation – clear reporting to leadership and stakeholders
• post-merger integration planning – understanding of synergy and change management
• stakeholder management – working across finance, legal, ops, HR, etc
• process building – establishing M&A frameworks, tools, and best practices
