Middle UX Designer Offline
This role requires an experienced mid weight UXD to work on a new News
Service multi-language app proposition, working alongside a Senior UXD in a cross
functional Apps team.
✔️Requirements:
• A portfolio of work across different screens and systems.
• Crafting UX and UI solutions for native iOS and Android app platforms, with good
familiarity of Material and Human Interface guidelines
• Strong UX and UI craft skills to produce high quality, accessible design solutions
• Proficiency using Figma and other design tools, and collaboration/planning tools
such as Jira• Using research and data to inform design decisions
• Collaborating with people from a range of disciplines
• Regular pairing with developers to provide build support independently
• Good communication skills, and ability to communicate design decisions
effectively
• Planning your own work to progress assigned tasks
• Aware of the latest design trends and technology developments.
• Design degree or equivalent on the job experience
✔️You Are Going To:
• Advocate for the best user experience at all times, ensuring that research insights
and data are central to all design decisions
• Collaborate closely with other Apps UX Designers (UXDS).
• Take direction from Senior UXDs and occasionally lead projects independently.
• Plan and facilitate workshops when needed.
• Creation of a wide range of artefacts as needed eg mapping experiences, creating
sketches, concepts, user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes
• Create design specifications including Accessibility requirements
• Support user research activities, and iterate designs based on feedback and
research findings.
• Participate in daily cross-discipline routines and rituals
• Pair with Android and iOS developers to review in-build work.
• Work transparently and proactively share work to ensure good visibility at every
stage of the design process
• Clearly communicate and justify design decisions.
• Advocate consistently for the best possible user experience.
