Middle Software Engineer (Clojure / Distributed Systems / Data Platforms)

About the Role
We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join a remote product team working on cutting-edge solutions in the areas of data, AI, and customer experience. You’ll be building scalable systems, working with large volumes of data, and contributing to full-stack product development in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer with a few solid years of experience who’s ready to grow, take ownership, and make a real product impact.

Start Date: Ideally in August

What You’ll Be Working On

• Develop backend services in a functional programming environment (Clojure)
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver new features
• Process large volumes of customer and event data to drive insights and automation
• Improve system architecture, performance, and reliability
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and planning sessions
• Contribute to a product used by global businesses to activate their customer data

Tech Stack

• Languages: Clojure (experience in functional programming is a big plus)
• Systems: Cloud-native, distributed data platforms
• Data: Large-scale processing, customer and event data

• Process: Agile workflows, fast iterations, strong team collaboration

   

About You

• 3–5 years of experience in Clojure backend development or full-stack engineering
• Some exposure to distributed systems, data pipelines, or large-scale platforms
• Comfortable working with or learning functional programming languages
• Strong understanding of software development best practices
• Proactive, curious, and collaborative mindset
• Good communication skills and fluent English

• Able to work independently in a remote environment
