Senior Backend Architect (Node.js) Offline

FluidLabs is growing — and we’re looking for a seasoned Node.js Architect to join us in shaping scalable, elegant backend systems for web products that matter. You'll work across domains — from InsurTech and Sustainability to API-driven platforms — helping our clients turn bold ideas into reliable digital solutions.This is not just about clean code — it’s about architecture that lasts, decisions that scale, and systems that adapt.

Requirements

• 10+ years in backend development with deep experience in Node.js
• Strong expertise in NestJS, Express.js, TypeScript, and API-first architecture
• Solid understanding of microservices, event-driven systems, and scalable design patterns
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and caching systems like Redis
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, AWS, and cloud-native architectures
• Experience with system monitoring, error tracking, and performance optimization
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs, write technical specs, and build for maintainability

• English: strong written and spoken communication skills

   

What you’ll do

• Design, evaluate, and implement backend architecture for complex web applications
• Lead and guide backend teams in Node.js/NestJS best practices, code structure, and system design
• Define technical standards and drive consistency across services and modules
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Own architectural decisions related to performance, scalability, and system integration
• Conduct code reviews, mentor developers, and ensure system-level thinking
• Actively shape DevOps, CI/CD, monitoring, and infrastructure choices (AWS, Docker, etc.)

• Working hours: 11:00–20:00 (Kyiv time)
• Workdays: Monday–Friday
• Vacation: 24 paid days per year
